Day 1 - Arrival in Colombia

Day 2 - Full day city tour + Breakdance Show

4th October 2025 (Saturday)

 

Experience a full day in Medellín, a vibrant city filled with history, art, and culture. The tour begins with a visit to the historic center of Medellín, where you can explore its rich architecture and iconic landmarks such as Plaza Botero, surrounded by the famous

sculptures of artist Fernando Botero, and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Next, we’ll head to Comuna 13, one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods, known for its social transformation and urban art. On this tour, you’ll have the chance to see the stunning graffiti and murals that adorn the walls of the commune, which tell stories of hope and resilience. Additionally, you’ll have a meeting with a local artist who will guide you through this vibrant art space, sharing their perspective on the community’s artistic expression.

At midday, enjoy a traditional lunch with authentic local flavors, where you’ll get to taste regional dishes such as bandeja paisa or trout.

The afternoon will be filled with energy and rhythm as you enjoy a break dance show performed by talented local dancers. This urban dance performance will showcase the incredible skill and creativity of Medellín’s young artists.

 

Day 3 - Private flight to Barichara - our exclusive getaway

Welcome to Barichara, a small town that seems to be frozen in time, with its white-walled houses, cobbled streets, and red-tiled roofs.

This place will take you to live one of the most rewarding experiences in our country: the art of crafts mixed with an immersion in nature.

This magical town is a place that many have claimed to fall deeply in love, for years it has been a refuge for artists and anyone looking for a quiet and warm place to be inspired.

Walking through its streets you will have the possibility to meet some locals, learn about its history and enjoy the handicraft shops.

Visit a Paper Workshop where community mothers will teach you to make paper from scratch! An experience that you will remember forever.

On the tour we will also visit the "Fique" handcraft shop, a natural fiber that in our country ranks second in use after cotton, used to we create beautiful and colorful handcrafts.

 

Day 4 - Hike to Guane with lunch

6th October 2025 (Monday)

 

What is a better idea than a walk at the beginning of the day along an old commercial route used by the indigenous people? A road that used to be used to bring agricultural products from the Magdalena River and connects around 5 other municipalities.

This road was rebuilt by a German engineer and remained as an important network for the transportation and trade of tobacco, cotton, corn, and quinoa. The tour offers incredible views of the landscape of the region and for nature lovers, you can find different native species of birds and flora.

On the way back, you will have lunch in a local farm. 

 

Day 5 - Horseback riding with picnic lunch

7th October 2025 (Tuesday)

 

The town of Barichara is also famous for the beauty of its landscapes. Its geographical location offers a landscape full of nature, diverse species of birds and plants along with a large number of small water sources are everywhere. On the journey that begins in the center of Barichara to Santa Helena, you will be able to contemplate the incredible view of the Suarez river from the canyon's viewpoint. You will pass through farms that are dedicated to agriculture and grow of citrus, avocados, corn, coffee, and cocoa.

Enjoy a quiet afternoon and a picnic in the middle of nature before returning to the village on a different path.

 

Day 6 - Off to Cartagena

8th October 2025 (Wednesday)

 

Today you will cross the Chicamocha Canyon on cable car to enjoy the views. After a 1h30 land transfer, you will arrive on the shore of the canyon.

Board the cable car which will take about 45 min to get to the other side.

You will be able to enjoy lunch in a local traditional coffee farm before heading to Bucaramanga airport on time for your flight.

Day 7 - Walking tour, ceviche workshop and lunch

9th October 2025 (Thursday)

 

This tour is perfect on arrival day to get familiarized with the beautiful historic center of Cartagena inside the walls that protected the city during the invasions of pirates, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1984 by UNESCO. Let us show you the colorful streets inside the walled historic city and its colonial architecture. You will meet the most important attractions, such as the Clock Tower (Torre del Reloj), Parque de Bolívar, Plaza de San Pedro Claver, Plaza Fernandez Madrid, Santo Domingo and San Diego areas. The guide will tell you all about Cartagena’s founding and will share interesting stories full of legends and pirates.

But this does not end here. We want you to enjoy one of the typical dishes of caribbean, ceviche! Take home a chef's recipe and enjoy it later.

A professional bartender will invite you to indulge yourself with premium Colombian rums. Rum is the most widely-consumed alcoholic beverage in Latin America. It is a distillate of fermented and distilled sugar cane, which may or may not be subsequently aged. During our Rum Tasting tour, you will learn the history of Rum, the different styles of manufacture and their origins. During the 2 hour tour, you will taste various combinations of rum and discover their aromas and flavors.

Music is one of the most important elements of Colombian culture. Get ready to move your body to the rhythm of salsa. The expert dancers will broaden your knowledge about this dance and they will fill you with energy and love for salsa during this 1.5 hour dance lesson. Mojito included!

Day 8 - Rosario Island Hopping

10th October 2025 (Friday)

 

In the Caribbean Sea you will find the Rosario Islands, a place made up of a coral barrier that includes 27 islands located approximately 1 hour by boat from Cartagena. Its natural landscapes, crystal clear waters and coral reefs are the main attraction.

Navigate in a private boat (with drinks and snacks on board included), enjoy the tour between the different islands and get to know the coral reef that characterizes this part of the Caribbean, our staff that will accompany you will select the best places for you.

After a sunny morning and enjoy yourself in the water, you can go to your Beach Club where they await you with a refreshing drink and a typical Caribbean lunch. After lunch, other hours of relaxation await you by the sea.

 Day 9 - Adios Babes!

11th October 2025 (Saturday)

Say it isn’t so – the Babes must head off.  Enjoy the time in your private transfer to the airport to discuss what you will take away from your Away Babes experience and start planning for the next one!
